COURSE OVERVIEW:
The Emergency First Response course is a comprehensive program that teaches you the fundamental skills needed to respond effectively to medical emergencies. From basic first aid to cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), you'll gain the knowledge and confidence to assist in critical moments.
COURSE STRUCTURE:
The course is divided into two main components:
Primary Care (CPR): In this segment, you'll learn the essential steps to provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and aid to individuals in need. You'll practice techniques for administering CPR to adults, children, and infants, as well as learn how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED).
Secondary Care (First Aid): Secondary care focuses on assessing injuries and illnesses and providing first aid. You'll learn to recognize and treat various medical conditions, from minor cuts and burns to sprains and fractures. The goal is to stabilize the injured or ill person until professional medical help arrives.
BENEFITS:
Life-Saving Skills: Gain the ability to respond confidently and effectively in emergency situations, potentially saving lives.
Versatility: EFR skills are not only valuable in diving but also in everyday life, making you a more responsible and capable individual.
Diving Preparedness: For divers, EFR training is a prerequisite for the PADI Rescue Diver course, as it teaches the necessary skills for assisting fellow divers in distress.
Global Recognition: The skills you learn through EFR are applicable worldwide and can be used to assist anyone in need.
CERTIFICATION:
Upon successful completion of the EFR course, you'll receive an EFR certification that is valid for two years. This certification demonstrates your competency in providing emergency first aid and CPR.
