COURSE OVERVIEW:

The PADI Self-Reliant Diver course empowers you to take control of your diving experiences when a suitable buddy isn't available.

STEP 1 - KNOWLEDGE DEVELOPMENT:

Explore the principles of self-reliant diving, including gas management, equipment redundancy, emergency planning, and risk assessment.

You'll also delve into the psychological aspects of solo diving, ensuring that you possess the right mindset for this advanced form of diving.

STEP 2 - OPEN WATER DIVES:

Apply your knowledge during three self-reliant dives under the supervision of a certified PADI Instructor.

These dives will challenge your planning, execution, and problem-solving skills while ensuring safety protocols are maintained.

PREREQUISITES:

Be a certified PADI Advanced Open Water Diver (or equivalent certification from another organization).

Be at least 18 years old.

Have a minimum of 100 logged dives.
