COURSE OVERVIEW:

The PADI Deep Diver course is an essential step for divers who want to expand their diving horizons and experience the captivating wonders of the deep ocean.

You'll learn about the challenges and considerations of deep diving, as well as the techniques for managing the additional complexities that come with exploring deeper waters.

STEP 1 - KNOWLEDGE DEVELOPMENT:

You'll delve into the physics and physiology of deep diving, including the effects of increased pressure, gas narcosis, and the importance of proper gas management.

You'll also learn about specialized deep diving equipment and how to plan deep dives safely, considering factors such as dive time, ascent rates, and decompression considerations.

STEP 2 - OPEN WATER DIVES:

The heart of the course lies in completing four deep dives under the guidance of a qualified PADI Instructor. During these dives, you'll practice the techniques you've learned, refine your buoyancy control, and experience the unique challenges and beauty of diving at greater depths.

PREREQUISITES:

To enroll in the PADI Deep Diver course, you must be:

A certified PADI Adventure Diver, Advanced Diver (or equivalent certification from another organization).

At least 15 years old (certain specialty dives have age requirements).
